In the AI era, education can no longer function simply as knowledge delivery or standardized test preparation. As generative AI makes answers increasingly accessible, we must ask a deeper question:

What is the true purpose of school in the AI era?

This event will introduce the vision behind School 2.0 — a human-centered model of education that moves beyond the traditional “knowledge factory” and toward vibrant learning communities built on inquiry, creativity, responsibility, and real-world learning.

The event will also celebrate the launch of AI Era: Redefining Teaching and Learning, co-authored by Paul Pu and Professor Jim Slotta of OISE, University of Toronto. The book presents a new educational framework for the AI era, including the Anchored Learning Model, which balances stable human values, ethics, and foundational judgment with flexible inquiry, creativity, and project-based learning.
